The Pittsburgh Steelers have arguably the best defensive player in the league, and some might argue that he’s the best player overall.
T.J. Watt continues to put up numbers at a video game-like pace, and he’s coming off yet another incredible season.
Unfortunately, he didn’t get the recognition some feel he deserved.
This time, Myles Garrett was named the AP Defensive Player of the Year, and Watt wasn’t happy about it.
He sent out a not-so-cryptic tweet, stating that it was “nothing he wasn’t used to.”
With that in mind, SB Nation asked him if he actually was talking about the NFL Honors, and he simply confirmed it.
Watt also said what every single Steelers fan out there wanted to hear, which is that he was going to continue pushing through and is using this snub as motivation to get better for the future.

Watt doesn’t need another Defensive Player of the Year trophy to know he’s one of the most impactful players in the game, but it definitely helps.
He posted the best numbers of all finalists, which is why some people can’t help but feel like he was snubbed.
Still, the Cleveland Browns star was also a rightful winner.
His stats weren’t anywhere close to Watt’s, but he also managed to make a huge impact on defense.
Whatever the case, it’ll now be up to T.J. to reclaim his crown, and barring injury, there’s no reason to believe he can’t keep getting better and run away with the award again next season.
