The Pittsburgh Steelers have found plenty of issues on the defensive side of the field this season.
Nonetheless, Isaac Seumalo has been one of the few constants in a complicated campaign for the black and gold.
The former Philadelphia Eagles star has been lights out for Mike Tomlin’s team this season.
As a matter of fact, he didn’t allow a single sack on 551 pass-blocking snaps this campaign, according to PFF Pittsburgh (via PFF PIT Steelers on Twitter).

The Steelers’ running game and passing game struggled alike, perhaps because of design, perhaps because of personnel.
The play-calling also left a lot to be desired, although firing Matt Canada did wonders in that regard.
Whatever the case, Seumalo was there to take care of whoever was behind center, whether it was Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, or Mason Rudolph.
Those guys cannot complain of a lack of time or protection, which is why there should also be no excuse for their underperformance at times.
The Steelers need to figure out a lot of things ahead of the upcoming campaign, and one of those things might be the QB position.
Pickett seemed like a lock to get the nod for at least another campaign, but after watching the third-string QB leading the offense better than him in the final stretch of the season, that might not be the case anymore.
Regardless of who’s there, at least they can be sure that they’ll be protected with this stellar guard taking care of business and making sure to keep opposing defenders away.
