One doesn’t have to be a football savant to realize that the Pittsburgh Steelers offense is far from the best in the league.
For years, OC Matt Canada has been the main target of Steelers-related criticism.
The team has often struggled to move the chains and put up points on the scoreboard, and while their QB situation has been far from ideal in the past three years, they have also failed to make the most of the running game despite some talented personnel.
The fans have had enough and have even taken to NHL or MLB games to urge the team to fire Matt Canada once and for all, but HC Mike Tomlin has continued to stay by his side.
Recently, Jim Rome asked former Steelers LB Ryan Shazier whether Tomlin was being loyal to Canada to a fault or what he thought was going on within the organization.

Shazier did say that Tomlin is a very loyal person, but he also says that the Steelers organization isn’t used to firing people mid-season, especially considering they’re currently 3-2.
He also said that as much as the Steelers have struggled offensively, it’s easy to ask for someone to be fired, but it’s not easy to find him a replacement, especially at this point in the campaign.
The Steelers’ offense and play-calling have been among the league’s worst every year under Canada.
But as much as the fans would love to see him and his hat walking out the door, it’s just not going to happen, at least not now.
