The Pittsburgh Steelers need absolutely everything to go their way.
They’re still hanging onto the hope of making the playoffs, so they cannot afford any more setbacks.
That’s why it was such a huge breath of fresh air to know that they might have one of their defensive leaders and best players on the field ahead of Saturday’s rivalry clash with the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, star DT Cam Heyward is officially out of the concussion protocol.

The team announced earlier on Thursday morning that the star defensive tackle had been cleared by an independent neurological consultant and is looking forward to being back on the field.
Notably, the veteran star suffered a concussion during Saturday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
It was never reported when exactly he suffered the injury, and he even managed to play through it for the entire game, with the team not reporting it until after the loss.
This hasn’t been an easy season for Heyward, who has been able to be on the field for just eight games this season.
His presence will be key to helping Mike Tomlin’s defense have a chance to take down a divisional rival in a must-win contest.
The Steelers have dropped there games in a row, two of them against two-win teams.
Their offense has been struggling, to say the least, so they’ll need their defense to be at their best and help them flip the field if they want to stand a chance to win.
