The Pittsburgh Steelers have struggled mightily to move the chains this season.
That has become a usual trend during the Matt Canada regime, but some have placed the blame on Kenny Pickett’s shoulders.
This is the case with FS1’s Craig Carton.
In the latest edition of “The Carton Show”, the controversial pundit ripped the Steelers and their offense, stating it’s just a matter of time before they regress.
He called Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett out for not throwing for more than 235 yards in any game this season, and pretty much stated that he’s not a good NFL signal-caller.
Fellow analyst David Jacoby had a similar approach, bashing the Steelers’ offense for being bad for three quarters and then scraping their way into a win.
This led to former Pittsburgh offensive lineman Willie Colon putting his two colleagues on blast, talking about how the only thing that matters is that the Steelers are 4-2, and they continue to win football games.

Truth be told, he’s got a valid point; the only thing that matters right now is Pittsburgh’s win-loss record.
On the other hand, one can only wonder how long the Steelers can sustain this.
Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin will always find a way to get wins out of the mud and make sure that his team doesn’t finish the season with a losing record.
But the Steelers’ offense currently isn’t good enough to get the job done in the playoffs, and while Pickett deserves some of the blame for the unit’s struggles this season, he’s not the one calling the plays.
