It’s been a wild ride of a season for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and just when it seemed like things were starting to click once and for all, Kenny Pickett fell with an injury.
The Steelers will now square off for a not-so-pretty matchup with the 2-10 New England Patriots on Thursday night, and the over/under being set at just 30 points tells you everything you need to know about the game.
The Steelers will have to rely on quarterback Mitch Trubisky to lead the way, and that usually hasn’t translated into good things.
That’s why former Pittsburgh offensive lineman Willie Colon expressed his concerns about Thursday night’s matchup.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, Colon reaffirmed that Thursday’s game is a must-win for the Steelers, which is why they cannot afford any usual Trubisky shenanigans (via The Carton Show on Twitter).
"Mitchell Trubisky makes me nervous. This is a must-win."

The Patriots haven’t fared well offensively at all, and having quarterback Bailey Zappe on the other side of the field isn’t exactly intimidating, especially for a defense like Mike Tomlin’s.
On the flip side, New England has only allowed 10 or fewer points in their last three games, and while they’ve still found ways to go 0-3 over that span, it’s a scary thought for Pittsburgh with Trubisky as their quarterback.
Most quarterbacks have at least one good game in them before regressing to the mean, and the Steelers just need Trubisky to hold down the fort for a little longer.
Pickett could be back as soon as next week, but the Steelers cannot afford any more setbacks at this point in the season with the playoffs on the line.
