The Pittsburgh Steelers have been held back by their subpar offense for way too long.
Even in Ben Roethlisberger’s final years, poor quarterback play was the biggest hurdle this team needed to get past to make the playoffs.
Of course, not having Matt Canada calling plays could give some fans hope for a better future in 2024.
Then again, even the best play-caller in the game could struggle to get anything going with a QB room consisting of Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph, and Kenny Pickett.
With that in mind, plenty of people have urged the team to move on.
That includes former player Domonique Foxworth, who recently said on ESPN’s “Get Up” that the Steelers should go after Justin Fields.

Truth be told, that actually makes sense.
Not only would he be a significant upgrade for their quarterback room, but he could also be cheap to get.
The Chicago Bears could be in a hurry to move him to make room for Caleb Williams, so his trade value might not be as high as it could’ve been.
Fields is an elite scrambler and someone who could benefit from the Steelers’ run-heavy offense.
He’s still young and is on a team-friendly deal, and the team could get a chance to watch him before making any long-term decisions and giving him a lot of money.
The Steelers have an elite defense and one of the best coaches in the game, but no one can win in this league without a good quarterback.
