The Pittsburgh Steelers have been through a lot this season.
It’s only natural to understand the players’ and fans’ frustration, especially with the current status of the offense.
Nonetheless, several fans have taken offense — no pun intended — at George Pickens’ attitude and how he seemingly refused to run block out of frustration during the loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Pickens’ antics have been a talking point all season long, and some believe the team could look to part ways with him before he gets out of control.
With that in mind, NFL analyst David Helman believes that people are blowing things out of proportion, stating he’s not giving up on a talent like Pickens over these kinds of things (via NFL on FOX Podcast).

Helman believes that Mike Tomlin is the right guy to help a young player like him develop and become a true professional.
That’s only true if Pickens is actually wiling to do his part and listen to what his coach has to say.
He hasn’t exactly been receptive or coachable, and his antics on the field and on social media have left a lot to be desired.
He’s very gifted and talented, but we’ve seen many players even better than him spiral out of control because of their ego, and they simply haven’t been worth all the problems.
Pickens needs to act a little bit more mature and the sky will be the limit for him, whether that’s with the Steelers or somewhere else.
