The Pittsburgh Steelers need to get their offense going once and for all.
It’s been years since this team posed any sort of threat on offense, and something has to give right now.
With that in mind, Steelers analyst Christopher Carter wondered which type of candidate would be better for this team.
Talking on the Locked On Steelers podcast, he claimed that the team could be torn between two potential offensive coordinators.
Either one that’s known to be a quarterback whisperer or one that could look to make the most of the talent they currently have on their hands (via Locked On Steelers on YouTube).
Truth be told, the latter might as well be better for the team right now.
They’re reportedly set to stick with Kenny Pickett for the coming campaign.
Nonetheless, the fact that they didn’t even consider turning back to him in the playoffs despite him being back to full strength makes people think that he might not be on a long leash.
It’s not a secret that the Steelers have a major issue at the quarterback position, and not many people seem to have any sort of faith in Pickett figuring things out any time soon.
Considering that, the team needs to find a way to make the most of whatever he has around him.
This is a quarterback’s league and you need a star at the position to win more often than not, but if the team refuses to pursue a different choice right now, perhaps they could look to elevate everybody else.
